Kate Else Darach is a multidisciplinary artist, a hat-juggling Jill of all trades, a mama, a drummer, a magpie of dreams. She writes and devises award-winning theatre as Salt Lick Theatre, and is an associate actor of Something Underground Theatre Company and Feral Theatre. Salt Lick’s current show in development is ‘Boxes’.

Darach’s previous five-star show was Moon Tales. It was developed with support from Arts Council England, The Old Market , ONCA and others, and played at Brighton Fringe, Lewes Festival of Solo Theatre, ONCA and featured in The Old Market’s Reigning Women season. She is a percussionist and mestre in the bands Carnival Collective and Sambaoke. She is an NCTJ-qualified journalist and reviewer (mainly live theatre, but also dance, books, and restaurants). She has written for The Guardian, Times Literary Supplement, and Brighton and Hove News amongst others. She is a poet, often performing at Spoken Word events and Open Mics (link to video of ‘Instructions’. She also has three sons and works for the NHS in Primary Care.
